Sometimes in life, you want to purchase expensive wedding gifts.  Perhaps it is the wedding of your grandchild or your best friend.  Maybe you have been asked to register for some things which would work well as group wedding gifts and are looking for some inspiration.  Here I present some fairly common expensive wedding gifts, which tend to be well-used when purchased!

Expensive Wedding Gifts You Need to Buy

If you are looking for group gift ideas, these are all fantastic choices. If they aren’t on the registry, make sure you run the idea past the couple, or past someone very close to them! When it comes to buying an expensive wedding gift, sometimes this can be hard. This list is FULL of wedding gifts that are plenty expensive. You best get your wallet out and get to buying.

A Good Vacuum

Both Miele and Dyson are very well regarded, though pricey! Vacuum cleaners are one of those things that you don’t really want to buy for yourself, but having a good one makes life oh-so-much better!

A Cookware Set

A good set of pots and pans, like this set from Le Creuset, will last most of a lifetime. Every newly married couple needs a good cookware set.

A Chesterfield

That’s Canadian for a couch! Upgrading to nice furniture, instead of the loud floral pattern sofa that came free from a housemate’s cottage, is often on the to-do list for newlyweds.

A Mattress

Good mattresses, which are very important to newlyweds, but it does ost a pretty penny. If you are looking to buy an expensive wedding gift, then a mattress is a good gift to buy.

A DSLR Camera

With a lifetime of memories ahead, picking up a good DSLR Camera, like a Canon Rebel makes for a lovely wedding gift. You cannot go wrong with a good camera in your life.

Honeymoon Airfare

After the cost and stress of a wedding, jetting away for a honeymoon is always appreciated.

A Fine China Set

Many couples register for fine china.  To be remembered, you could purchase the whole set!

An Espresso Maker

Caffeine fuels a lot of the world, having a delicious, home-made latte from an espresso maker before the daily grind can make the life of newlyweds even better.

A Barbecue

Grilling is a year-round activity! Pick up a BBQ for your lucky gift recipients. Don’t forget to add in the accessories, like a BBQ cover!

A Stand Mixer

The prized kitchen possession of a KitchenAid Stand Mixer is a longstanding expensive wedding gift. If you don’t have a stand mixer in your life, are you even living? This is the perfect expensive gift to buy someone.

  1. This may sound dumb but I would have loved a good vacuum as a wedding gift. The biggest reason is that I have bad allergies and even if I didn't it would just be nice to have one that works well (our first one broke within a year). They aren't cheap so this would be a great gift to a young couple just starting out.

I bet a good one is really important to you. I have a cheap one and have to go over areas a few times to get things that I can see… I can't imagine what's left that I can't see! They are extremely pricey, too.

  11. Never underestimate the power of good cookware set! It can save you so much money in the long run. It may not be the most exciting thing to give but it may be the most useful by far.
