Reindeer Decorating Ideas

Kids would enjoy picking what reindeer gets which color. This way you don’t have to go buy just one color of M&M you can just buy a regular pack and use whichever colors you want. We also highly recommend you blast some Rudolph while baking these so you don’t forget any of his reindeer. Once your adorable reindeer bark is done and is setting, why not sit back and relax and watch the classic cartoon or read the book! Make a fun afternoon out of it.

So creating reindeer with red noses to look like the classic Christmas character Rudolph is super cute, but why not Santa’s other reindeer too? You know…Dancer, Prancer, vixen, comet, cupid, donner, and Blitzen!

I bet you sang that in your head while reading that. To create Santa’s other reindeer simply get brown M&M and use those instead, while ensuring you have at least one red nose reindeer OR you can be extra creative and use all the colors in a pack of regular M&M for noses. Maybe green for dancer, orange for Prancer, and so on!

Can I Substitute the Chocolate Chips in this Recipe?

One of the best parts about the holiday season is getting creative with all the different baking options out there, one that’s already super fun is the many different types of chocolate chips you can get. Including white chocolate, butterscotch, and even mint (sometimes this one is only around for the holidays) We’ve noticed they even have mint chocolate chips shaped into festive shapes AND are red and green! Cute, but maybe not for this recipe.

For something different for your reindeer consider grabbing some white chocolate and butterscotch, hey even regular shaped mint ones. Melt those down to create different color and flavor reindeer! This is a really good idea if you plan to take these to a party. The white and butterscotch would give you white reindeer and a light brown one!

You can also grab some dark chocolate chips as well if you want to stick with classic chocolate but offer a different shade and taste. The possibilities are really endless when it comes to creating these.

How to Make Easy Reindeer Bark

Ingredients:

Candy Eyes
Red M&M
Pretzels
12oz Chocolate Chips
Wax Paper
Cooking Spray

‌Instructions:

Pour the chocolate chips into a sauce pan and lightly spray with cooking spray.
Melt the chocolate chips over medium heat.
Lay out a piece of wax paper.
Spread the melted chocolate onto the wax paper in two-three inch circles.
Add two pretzels for antlers.
Add two candy eyes.
Place a red M7M onto the chocolate for a nose.
Let the chocolate harden.
