Giant Valentine’s Day Cookie Cake

This Giant Valentine’s Day cookie cake not only makes the ultimate dish to bring to a party but it also makes the perfect gift for the sweetheart in your life. This giant valentine’s day cookie cake recipe is simple and delicious, using a classic cookie dough base simply mix all wet and dry ingredient together before placing in your heart shaped cake pan! Pop it in the oven and prep your frosting while it bakes! 

Chocolate Frosting

While your heart cookie cake is baking you can prepare your chocolate frosting. Mix all your ingredients together and place in a piping bag for best results for decorating – you can also decorate without a piping bag. Once your heart shaped cookie cake is out of the oven and cooled ensure you remove it from the pan before you begin decorating. This is where you can use your imagination and design it however you like! Add frosting to the edges or the whole cake! Don’t forget to add some Valentine sprinkles! Most importantly have fun and enjoy! 

Valentines Sprinkle Cake

Makes 1 – 9 in Heart cookie cake

Chocolate Chip Cookie Ingredients:

1 ½ C unsalted sweet cream butter, softened
1 ½ C light brown sugar
½ C sugar
2 large eggs
2 egg yolks
4 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 ½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp kosher salt
2 ½ C flour
2 C semi sweet chocolate chips
¾ C Valentine’s Day sprinkles

Chocolate Frosting Ingredients:

½ C unsalted sweet cream butter, softened
2 C powdered sugar
½ C Hershey Cocoa Powder
3 tbsp heavy whipping cream
1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
¼ C Valentine’s Day Sprinkles
1 large piping bag with a large star tip

Chocolate Chip Cookie Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray a 9in round cake pan with pam baking spray, set aside
  • Using a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt
  • Using a large bowl, beat the butter, sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy
  • Beat in the eggs and vanilla until combined
  • Gradually beat in the dry ingredients until combined and a dough forms
  • Fold in 1 ½ C chocolate chips and 3/4 C Valentine’s Day sprinkles
  • Press the cookie dough into the cake pan, sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips and sprinkles on top
  • Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are set and start to turn a light golden brown
  • Remove from oven and allow to cool completely
    Dry ingredients before mixing butter, eggs, brown sugar to be mixed mixed ingredients with chocolate chips

Chocolate Frosting Directions :

  • Using a standing mixer, beat the butter, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, heavy whipping cream, and vanilla until combined
  • Scoop the frosting into the piping bag and set aside.

Decorating the Giant Valentine’s Day Cookie Cake Directions :

  • Remove the cookie cake from the pan and place onto the cake board
  • Let it cool
  • Using the chocolate frosting, pipe dollops all around the edge of the cookie
  • Sprinkle some sprinkles on top
  • Cut into slices and serve with a BIG OLE GLASS OF MILK
