Pecans in a Cake?

When we’re talking Southern-inspired baking, you’re going to have some pecans here and there. If you’re not totally sold on this delicious baking ingredient, you’ll have to see how it comes to life in these King Cake rolls.

They’re chopped small for the purpose of these rolls, as they are in the original King Cake recipe itself. In the latter, you’ll find that they make a really savory base for the bottom of the ‘roll’, which combined with cinnamon sugar creates something truly special.
