Patriotic Uncle Sam Handpring Beard Craft
4th of July is an exciting time! We get to celebrate how great the United States of American is! Typically BBQ are had, fireworks are set off, and everyone rocks red, white, and blue. Having some Patriotic craft ideas on hand for little ones is an added bonus for this special day! This craft is super easy and allows kids to be creative while using there hands, literately! You only need a few simple craft items like a paper plate, paper, glue, and scissors!
Creating Your Uncle Sam Handprint Craft
Materials
- Paper plate
- Glue
- Silver Glitter
- Construction papers (red, blue, black and white)
- Scissors
- Paint, pink
- Paint brush
Instructions
- Paint the paper plate with peach color. Let it dry before starting the next step.
- Cut strips of rectangle from the red paper. Then attach it to a white paper. Make sure to leave spaces in between.
- Cut a rectangle from the blue paper. Then attach it to the red and white. Make sure to add it at the top.
- Make stars using glitter and glue.
- Pour glitter on it. Then remove it. Make sure to dry it.
- Glue your painted plate to your hat.
- Trace your hand on a white paper.
- Make two handprints, one of each hand.
- Then attach it at the bottom part of the paper plate.
- Make the details of the face by cutting an oblong shape for the nose from the black paper.
- Make two arc shapes from the white and black paper. Make sure that the black is smaller than the white then attach it together to make the eyes.
- Attach it to the paper plate.
