Every year on February 2nd, people gather in Punxsutawney, PA to watch Punxsutawney Phil emerge from his burrow. If Phil sees his shadow, we can expect 6 more weeks of winter. If Phil doesn’t see his shadow, we can start expecting spring! In the doldrums of winter, this day can be an easy reason to celebrate the upcoming spring.
