To be considered a traditional caprese you would need to use real mozzarella and tomatoes, however if you want to offer an alternative for a younger crowd consider making a candy cane completely out of cheese, Yellow and white cheese alternating can create a candy cane look. - 8oz Ounces Fresh Mozzarella Cheese (Sliced)
- 3 Tomatoes
- Basil Leaves
- Balsamic Glaze
- 1 Large Baguette
Directions:
- Slice the tomatoes.
- Start at the top end of the candy cane shape and create the candy cane stripes by alternating a slice of fresh mozzarella with a slice of tomato until you get a big candy cane shape.
- Place fresh basil leaves around the serving board
- Pour the balsamic glaze into a small bowl.
- Slice the Baguette and place the board.
- Enjoy your candy cane caprese cheese board!
