Traditional cinnamon rolls take a little bit of practice; forming them isn’t always easy and sometimes things can go awry if you’re a newcomer to the baking world. Luckily, these cinnamon roll inspired Christmas tree treats just take a little bit of forming and before you know it, you’ve got yourself a fun and delightful dessert you can serve up at a moment’s notice!
We recommend making these ‘fresh’, or throwing them in the Air Fryer just before you intend to serve them. Why’s that? The incredible sweet cinnamon aroma that comes off of these things is quite literally the icing on the cake, filling the house with holiday cheer for those guests with a sweet tooth! Suggestions for Making Your Cinnamon Rolls
You can use basically any type of candy out there to decorate your trees as well, try buying a bunch of different candies to have so your kids can really use their imaginations and decorate them however they wish. (M&M, skittles, peppermint candies, the list goes on). Another great idea if you aren’t a huge fan of candies or sprinkles is simply using other colored icings. - Star Sprinkle’s
- Christmas Sprinkle’s
- Green Icing
- Reese’s Mini’s
Directions:
- Pre-heat air fryer to 375 degrees.
- Take the cinnamon rolls and unroll each one.
- Form into a tree shape by zig zagging the cinnamon roll back and forth. Starting with a longer piece and continue to zig zag smaller as you go up.
- Place in the air fryer for 6 minutes.
- Remove from air fryer & smother in green icing.
- Quickly sprinkle before the icing sets.
- Add a star sprinkle on the top.
- Add a dot of icing on the smaller side of the Reese’s Mini and stick it on the bottom of the cinnamon roll to create a tree trunk.
