Blondie Vs. Brownie

This may come as a shock, but a lot of people aren’t super familiar with blondies. They often get confused with brownies. The common misunderstanding is that a blondie is simply a brownie with white chocolate, which isn’t the case at all! So let us break it down for you.

The main difference between a blondie and a brownie is that a blondie doesn’t contain any cocoa powder, instead it is typically replaced with Vanilla instead. For our recipe we use Vanilla and golden oreos! Another thing to make note about is blondie recipes call for “Light brown sugar” instead of regular brown sugar or dark brown sugar.

Always make sure you have the correct brown sugar on hand. This will change the flavor and color if not used correctly.

Decorating Ideas

If you would like to skip the sprinkles you can grab some icing gel pens in red and blue and draw some stars, lines, or other fun patterns to make them your own patriotic brownies.

If you want a little more sweetness you can also consider making some red and blue frosting and use that on top. Consider the crowd you are making these for, a party with a bunch of kids will appreciate TONS of sugar. Get creative and have some fun with these blondies!
