I think I need a little backstory here – I absolutely love card games. I am also a champion Cards Against Humanity player (fight me) and am constantly on the lookout for the next greatest party game. Sometimes, though, it’s good to spice it up and expand your game horizons. If you are looking for games similar to Cards Against Humanity, you are in the right spot – each of these shares elements with the forefather of inappropriate and hilarious gaming.
So, strap yourself in: Here’s (sincerely) 20 games that are great if you like Cards Against Humanity.
If You Like Cards Against Humanity You’ll Love These Adult Party Games
Although some of these games can be played with teens, they’re definitely the right choice for all your adult parties and get togethers. Whether it’s a fun game night at home something fun to take to the bar, anyone who enjoys Cards Against Humanity will have a blast with these similar card and party games.
Wild Charades
This fun new game puts a spin on the classic charades but with more of an adult twist. You’ll need to get your mind in the gutter to guess these clues!
Utter Nonsense
It’s a card game where you have to say stupid phrases in stereotypical accents. You’ll need some friends who are willing to look silly to play this one, though.
Sh*t Happens
Maybe it’s the nihilist in me that thinks a game where you rank cards based on their sh*ttiness would be a good idea but here it is.
KinderPerfect
This one’s for parents: Basically a Cards Against Humanity clone where you pair cards into hilarious parenting confessions or stereotypes.
Disturbed Friends
This one is way more offensive than CAH – you have to not only show your true, disturbed colours when playing but guess how messed up your friends are.
Go Fish Yourself
Traditionally I’m against “classic game with a twist” but Go Fish Yourself breaks that rule. Which, ironically, is the opposite of how it plays. Each pair has a ridiculous rule you must follow to stay in the game.
Exploding Kittens
This game is chaotic and random with hilarious consequences. For people who like explosions, kittens, and Russian roulette.
We Didn’t Playtest This At All
These super short games have you staying alive, which is easier said than done. Just follow all the insane rules on the cards!
Joking Hazard
Fans of the webcomic Cyanide and Happiness will love this hilarious game. You have to play cards to make a 3 panel comic and then decide which one is the best.
Urban Dictionary Game
Basically everyone on the internet knows about Urban Dictionary and has probably already played this game in some form. Now you get to go head to head with your friends and see who knows more insane internet slang.
The Voting Game
Find out who your friends when this game forces you to single each other out. Embarrassing, mean, and funny to anyone who can take a joke or laugh at themselves.
Never Have I Ever
Never Have I Ever is probably the oldest drinking party game known to man. This one puts it into cards to get you thinking (and confessing).
The Game of Nasty Things
The Game of Things is a popular series where everyone writes in their response and one person has to guess who said what. This one has some more adult prompt cards to choose from.
Drunk, Stoned, or Stupid
Another one that has you calling out your friends. Everyone votes on who’s most likely to do what and the person with the most votes has to hold that card in shame.
What Do You Meme?
A game for the internet generation, this one draws on popular memes for inspiration. Just like Cards Against Humanity, everyone plays a card each round that fits with another one. This time, though, it’s a popular meme image and you play the caption.
Apples to Apples Party Box
Apples to Apples is actually really similar to Cards Against Humanity in gameplay style. You need to play a description that matches the card on hand as closely as possible – comparing them like apples to apples. If you are looking for more family-friendly games, try this list here.
Red Flags
One of your friends is single and it’s up to you to find them the perfect date. Use perk cards to make your choice sound the best and sabotage your friends’ choices with red flags. Then, argue your way to victory!
FunEmployed
Do you have the qualifications to be a mad scientist or bounty hunter? Perhaps! Build your resume out of your hand and try and self yourself for the position.
Million Dollars But…
Made by Rooster Teeth, Million Dollars But has one player getting a million dollars. There’s a catch, though… Everyone plays a scenario card that adds to the catch. Next, everyone has to glorify or downplay each one. The winner is the card they wouldn’t do for a million bucks.
Spaceteam
Your team has to work together and repair your malfunctioning spaceship. You get some tools and problems you have to fix… Seems simple, right? Too bad all of the cards are gibberish. Yell at your friends until they do what you need or suffer your demise.
Secret Hitler
It’s a new game from the Cards Against Humanity team, so you know it’s going to be good. It’s a dramatic game of political intrigue and betrayal, perfect for light-hearted parties and friendly get-togethers. Seriously, though, these guys haven’t let us down before.
If you’re tired of Cards Against Humanity and need something new pick a new game from this list, grab some alcohol and close friends, and be the most popular friend and your next party.
