Simple doesn’t do these justice, they’re incredibly easy to put together. But, they still manage to strike that creative cord! As far as gross-out treats go, these little wafer cookies will pair wonderfully with any ghoulish ghosts, monsters or skeletons that inhabit the rest of the Halloween dessert spread! They’re fun to decorate, but still easy enough for your little monsters to help out and get involved in cookie decorating! Halloween is an exciting season for creative treats, and these cookies are no exception.

Below we’ll share our instructions and ingredients for making these spooky-themed snacks yourself!

Making Spooky Treats With Fondant

This sweet decorative ingredient goes a long way to making your dessert or snack spread something frightfully unique! Using it to add shapes and details like we did with these hilariously horrific cookie treats will set them apart from the rest.

While you can make fondant homemade fairly easily, we still recommend spending the extra few bucks and picking it up in the baking aisle or craft store. It will save you lots of trouble, and give you more time to prepare for all the monsters at your Halloween party or doorstep! Paired with squeezable icing, it creates a glossy, textural effect that makes these bloody bandaid cookie wafers POP on the plate.

Tips/Tricks/Notes:

If you don’t have fondant, you can find a recipe online, or even use frosting. It won’t look as neat, but it will do the trick.

To measure the square fondant more accurately, place a wafer on top of the fondant and cut along both sides of the fondant with a knife, into strips. Turn the wafer sideways across the fondant and cut into squares.

Don’t use a lot of water on the fondant, or it may get sticky
